The use of disposable products in biotech laboratories, pilot- and production plants is increasing. The use of disposable bags to prepare, to mix and to store culture media, buffer or cleaning solutions has been established in many locations.

Pumps (e.g. peristaltic pumps) are used to manage the transport of these process fluids.

Now, there is a new trend .... the bag technology is used more often as a part of the  downstream process lines. The use of membrane modules or chromatography columns is challenging the pumps. Higher flow rates and pressures are demanded to get the best results out of a downstream process step.  

Quattroflow pumps are currently used to pump the process fluids through all kind of downstream equipment. The new Quattroflow-1200 "Single-Use" pump is now available. The "bag - technology" can now be completed by the proper pump.

The first "single-use" membrane- and chromatography modules are already commercially available. 

There will be only one unit:  the "bag", the separation module and the pump. This unit is ready for use. After use it can be disposed safely and easily. 

Only the product-wetted part of the Quattroflow-1200 Single-Use Pump will be disposed. This pump head is connected to the drive unit by simply fixing 4 srews.
